The detail that makes a room

Good trim is quiet. You do not notice each joint or gap, you just feel that the room looks finished. Bad trim is the opposite: open miters, wavy runs, and nail holes that telegraph through the paint. The difference is all in the install, and that is the part we take seriously.

We handle it all: crown molding, base and baseboard molding, chair rail, wainscoting and picture-frame paneling, and door and window casing, new installs and replacements alike. Ceilings and walls are never perfectly straight, so we scribe to the real lines, cut tight miters, fill, caulk, and finish. Because we also paint in-house, the trim leaves primed and painted as one clean, built-in line, with one crew accountable for the whole result.

Molding & Trim FAQ

Questions homeowners ask us

How much does crown molding cost in Murfreesboro?
It depends on the size of the room, the height of the ceilings, the style and size of the molding, and whether it is painted. A single room is very different from crown throughout the house. We come out and give you a free, written estimate before any work starts, so you know the price up front. Call or text (615) 266-4109 for yours.
Do you install baseboards too, or just crown molding?
Both. We install and replace crown molding, base and baseboard molding, chair rail, wainscoting, and door and window casing. If it is trim, we do it, and it is often more efficient to do the crown and base at the same time.
Can you match the molding I already have?
Usually, yes. We match existing profiles as closely as the current stock allows so new trim blends with what is already in the home. If an exact match is not available we will show you the closest options before anything is ordered.
Do you caulk and paint the molding after it is installed?
Yes. Installation is only half of a good trim job. We fill the nail holes, caulk the seams and the top and bottom edges, then prime and paint so the molding reads as one clean, built-in line instead of separate sticks of wood. Because we paint in-house, one crew is accountable for the whole result.
My ceilings are not perfectly straight. Will the crown still look right?
Almost no ceiling is perfectly flat, especially in older homes. That is exactly where careful installation matters. We scribe and adjust to the real ceiling and wall lines and caulk the gaps so the finished run looks straight even when the framing is not.
How long does a molding job take?
A single room is often a day or so. Crown and base throughout a home takes longer, and painted trim adds time because caulk and paint need to dry between steps. We give you a realistic timeline with your written estimate.
Do you remove and replace old or damaged trim?
Yes. We pull off dated, damaged, or water-affected trim, prep the wall, and install new molding. We protect your floors and walls during removal and clean up after ourselves.
Are you licensed and insured, and is the work guaranteed?
Yes on both. Champion Property Care is licensed and insured, and every molding and trim job is backed by our 1-year written workmanship warranty. If something is not right, we make it right.
